The content has expired and can no longer be used

You get "The content has expired and can no longer be used" error like below when you try to open the site.

Which happened today when I opened my site.  

Then I checked the error details using correlation id above. Later I came to know that it was because of default zone settings of the web application.

You can get more information about the error details using correlation Id. 

To resolve the above error you need to set the Default zone settings of the web application.

To update the settings go to

[Application management] [Manage web applications]

Click on general settings section shown in the below figure.

You will observe that there no value for Default Time zone.

Based on your time zone select the value and click ok.

Perform IISreset.

Now you can browse the site and it will work with out having any issues.
