In this article you will learn how to open Quick Launch links in new window using jQuery in SharePoint 2013.
By default when you open links from quick launch in SharePoint 2013, those links opens in the same window.
See the below figure for example.
When you have publishing feature enabled in the site then you do not have the problem.
Why? because you have Navigation option enabled for the site so you can open the links in new window .
See the below figure, here we have option to add links under "Structural Navigation: Editing and Sorting" section of Navigation and open them in new window if required.
