While we are working with search in SharePoint 2010 for a public facing site we are getting below message "published by system account using content and structure tool" along with the search results for some of the records. This message is not consistent in the search results. We would like to hide the message because our client don't want that message to be displayed.
We started analyzing the pages which were showing the message and others which are not showing and found that the same message as found in the version history details as comments. While we are searching a solution, we try to to hide the message by customizing the search core results display webpart but no luck.
We have found that there is a crawl property called "ows_checkincomment" in the list of crawled property which is adding the message in search results. We have to edit the crawl property by unchecking the “Include values for this property in the search index” setting under mappings to managed property. Finally we had to run the crawl to reflect the changes in search results.
